Originally released in 2001, Toxicity (5x ARIA Platinum) became a cultural phenomenon, earning critical acclaim and cementing System Of A Down‘s place as one of the most influential and distinctive bands of their generation. Featuring era-defining tracks including Chop Suey! (8x ARIA Platinum), Aerials (3x ARIA Platinum) and the title track Toxicity (5x ARIA Platinum), the album continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.

Commenting on the hidden closing track on Toxicity, the band say “To our listeners, this has previously been known as the hidden track at the end of toxicity that some mistakenly call Arto. However, this composition is actually a spiritual Armenian hymn called Der Voghormia, which translates to “lord have mercy.” The piece is often used to commemorate the Armenian genocide, but it’s also ritualistically performed during times of grief and remembrance. When we, as System Of A Down, perform the song Live, we do it to remember the 1.5 million souls who lost their lives in 1915”.
