Prague formation STELL/\RIS have released their latest single Burnout, following the band’s new direction in co-operation with American producer Jonathan Doles from KonKrete Studios LA (Cane Hill, For the Fallen Dreams and more). Last year, the band set a high concert pace and thus presented their debut EP Upside Down, released in 2022, to a wide audience across leading Czech festivals and concerts abroad. This year we can look forward to a debut album that will carry the spirit of modern metal and huge sound from the pen of Jonathan Dolese.
With Burnout the band went heavier again compared to the first single Avatar. The lyrics deal with the very dark side of mental health – burnout. It is a state of our mind and soul that is dangerous and can happen to any of us. It doesn’t matter who you are, mental health disorders don’t choose. However, what really matters are the people around you, because you can burn out very easily and quickly, but the journey is long and difficult. Singer Nicol went through this last year and decided to pass on her experience. As she herself says, it was probably the most mentally challenging period in her life so far, and it’s definitely not something she wants to go through again. Please, talk about your problems and feelings before it’s too late. You are not alone!
