SPANISH LOVE SONGS have announced their fifth full-length FUTURE NAUSEA, produced by ex-Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla (Tegan and Sara, Foxing) and Illuminati Hotties’ Sarah Tudzin (Boygenius, Kississippi) is set for release on November 6 via Pure Noise records.
Heartland rock has long been built on nostalgia, soft-focus vignettes of hometowns, wide-open interstates and the mythology of an America that may or may not have ever existed. FUTURE NAUSEA borrows the genre’s widescreen sonic ambition while rejecting one of its defining traits: Rather than looking backward for comfort, the album fixes its gaze squarely on what’s to come – not with optimism but with the uneasy certainty that tomorrow may prove even more difficult than today.
Alongside the announcement comes lead single Good American – a thematic backbone for much of the album. Check it out below.
