Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) has confirmed Slipknot are planning a new album in an Ask-Me-Anything session on Reddit this morning.
When asked if they would ever consider a tour with rivals Mushroomhead, Taylor replied, “We’ve run into each other over the years, and the drama has definitely subsided. I would say yes, there would be a chance. Obviously there are things we in Slipknot have to do before we start thinking about long tours right now. Next year, the priority will be getting a new album together.”
As well as plans for the future, fans were most interested in knowing what it smelt like inside Taylor’s mask- to which he replied ‘hot garbage’.
“It does indeed get very hot and gross under the mask. But honestly, you just get used to it, weirdly enough. I don’t clean mine unless it starts talking back to me- then it’s clear that something has started living in it.”

Oh, that and Taylor confessed he wants to collaborate with Jay Z!
