On March 19 The Brightside is becoming Shrek’s swamp for one massive night to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the universally adored film.
Shrek Fest is a full venue take over, featuring a full live band and performances by members of the award-winning show Shreklesque. The thematic program also includes a real-life donkey on arrival, Shrek trivia, an onion eating competition, and sets from The Brightside DJs. The end of the night will see Smash Mouth’s classic hit “All-Star” played on repeat.
The Shreklesque performers won’t be the only ones’ in costume. On the night, you can expect to see a crowd full of Shrek characters, displaying their love for the classic films to win prizes. To many, Shrek is not only love, Shrek is life.
