North Brisbane four-piece heavy band Scrutiny aren’t holding back with their latest single, Web of Lies. The intro sets the tone for this track with some heavy-hitting lyrics backed by even more heavy hitting music.
“Web of Lies was written last year as my lockdown pressure release you might say,” the band explained, “as I watched livestreams of freedom protests in Melbourne (and later in the other state capitals) I saw a side of humanity I had only read about in history books. What I witnessed were things I thought unimaginable in a civilised Democratic country, and it shook me to the core. As I rode a rollercoaster of emotions, I began to ask questions about how we arrived here and why? Things just didn’t add up and the more questions I asked the angrier I got and Web of Lies was born.”
