Adelaide alternative metal quartet Rogue Half return with The Sound Of You, an energetic second offering from their upcoming EP, The Middle Distance, out Friday November 4.
The Sound Of You is produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Lalic (Windwaker) and melds energy and bounce with a modern darkness that Rogue Half have grown to call their own. The track is about being stuck in a negative headspace and reminiscing on the person you once were, wishing you could go back. Rogue Half had to adapt to their surroundings in 2021 to pull together their powerful new song.
“This song was a fun one to write,” tells the band. “It’s a song that was created right in the middle of the endless lockdowns during 2021. Every time we planned to get to Melbourne to work with Chris on the EP, either one of our states would enter a lockdown, so this song was basically created entirely over Zoom.”
