Two months out from their long-awaited joint Australian tour, Redd Kross and The Hard-Ons have announced a venue upgrade for their Saturday, March 14 show in Melbourne. Originally scheduled for The Tote, the show sold out upon announcement, and a second Tote show was announced. With the second show now also sold out, Saturday night has been moved to the larger Thornbury Theatre and is now back on sale. The Sunday matinee show remains at The Tote.
Supports have also just been announced for the tour, and with the likes of Itchy & the Nits, Moler, Cammy Cautious & The Wrestlers, The Wellingtons and Leatherman, the list includes some of the finest punk and power pop bands this country has to offer.
Since the tour was first announced, Melbourne and Sydney screenings of the Redd Kross feature-length documentary, Born Innocent: The Redd Kross Story, have also been announced. The belated Australian release of Born Innocent means that both bands now have documentaries screening locally: the second Hard-Ons film, Harder and Harder, will be announcing more screenings shortly, while the film which preceded it, The Most Australian Band in the World! is soon to be released on Blu-ray; details about both films and the Blu-ray and boxset releases are available from Living End Films here – LIVING EYES/FILMS
