Norwegian black metallers Ragnarok have been around for over 20 years and they’ve decided to shake things up. They surprised everyone by announcing that there would be a bold role swap in their line-up. Psychopathology will be the first album in the history of Ragnarok that doesn’t feature founding member Jontho on drums. He has taken over the role of vocalist on the new album! Dauden drummer Malignant, who joined the band in 2014 will take over on drums. DezeptiC*nt also makes his final appearance with the band on bass as he leaves the band to concentrate on other ventures.

Ragnarok founder and new frontman Jontho has told fans what they can expect from the album: “Your wait will finally come to an end in 2016 when we release Psychopathology, our eighth full-length album. I can say with absolute certainty that this album will be the best in Ragnarok’s career to date. It is the result of dedication, hard work, and the musical skills of our lineup, and is the next stage in the band’s development, both musically and lyrically. Psychopathology is about to unleash total chaos upon you as it invites you to dive deeper into the dark recesses of the human mind.”

Psychopathology will be out on 25 March 2016 via Agonia Records.

Ragnarok Tour Dates:
5 March – Sequane Fest VIII, France
20-21 May – Steelfest Open Air, Finland
