R. Hunter has been recording and producing sound-design for over two decades. Commenting on the specifics of the creation process of the upcoming album, cold moon/worm moon, which is out June 14, Hunter explains: “I often start with what I consider a strong cornerstone. This could be an interesting melody, a unique sound, or maybe a new tuning on my guitar or one of my synths. I build on top of this cornerstone.”
According to Hunter, missing scenes is his first fully realized project, allowing him to explore the interplay between the natural and synthetic, the light and haze, and the designed and unexpected.
“With the inclusion of Missing Scenes on the Earth in Sound label, I am very excited to further explore sound and artistry in the field of experimental music. R. Hunter is a unique voice in electronics and I am privileged to help him bring his work to the world,” Jason Walton, founder of Earth In Sound label.
