Premiere: TORRENTIAL THRILL ‘High Society’

Melbourne hard rock act Torrential Thrill have announced their new album State Of Disaster, set for release on April 1 2023. To celebrate the announcement, the band have released the first single High Society alongside an entertaining music video. Check out the single on all digital platforms here: https://li.sten.to/highsociety

Guitarist Steve Morrell comments on the track: “High Society is about greed and the lengths that people will go to get to the top of the food chain. The things that are important to us. Cool Car, clothes. It’s a stab at what we as a society have evolved to become, the corruption that comes about as a result of the relentless pursuit of power and how some people will do anything to get to the top of that tree. These themes are pretty consistent throughout the album.”

On the idea behind the video: “The clip is a metaphor for this, but at the same time – it’s a much lighter take on it, whilst at the same time trying to showcase the amazing creations of one of our local hero’s (Mum’s Burger Kitchen).”

State Of Disaster is Torrential Thrills’ most prolific and ambitious album yet. With 11 tracks and over an hour of new music, the album has been in the works for just over five years. Work initially began with pre-production and guitar/vocal tracking with Mitch ‘O Shea followed by many other locations for tracking including Basin Studios in Mt Buller with Matt D’arcy, Coloursound Studio in Altona with Matt Robins and Monolith Studios with Chris Themelco.
