It’s been less than 12 months since Superheist awoke from a lengthy 13-year hibernation. In that short period of time, the band has slammed out 18 new songs in the form of a full-length album Ghosts Of The Social Dead, plus five bonus tracks and Raise Hell AAA side.
Amongst all that the boys have pumped out five new video clips and played all over the country with two full national tours. Busy boys to say the least!
To add to all that, the ‘Heist filmed part of their set on the Sydney leg of the “Raise Hell Tour” and have given HEAVY first dibs on on the brand new video for the anthemic “The Deepend” off Ghosts Of The Social Dead“.
The band says this release serves as a bookend for the GOTSD campaign as they prepare to start recording their next album.
Also in the works is a special release DVD and back catalogue anthology due for release in the coming months.
Superheist stalwart and main-man Richie “DW” Norton stated to HEAVY, “It’s been an eye opening experience bringing the band back after such a long time away. We never thought it would be this huge… To see the passion and enthusiasm from the fans was just amazing. ‘Heist fans are a loyal and dedicated crew and it’s been awesome to get out and play for them all again. We are very proud of Ghosts Of The Social Dead but can’t wait for everyone to hear what we have in store next! It’s gonna be massive! The finishing touches are happening on the music for the new album and Zeke is working hard on writing the vocals. Then it’s time to hit the studio and record this beast! This time around I’ll be at the helm Producing and Mixing… just as it was with the Raise Hell release. So expect a heavier sound but even catchier songs! As for the new video… The Deepend was one of our favourite songs off GOTSD so it’s great to add it to our growing list of videos. To wind up… Superheist wish to thank all our fans and the Australian music media for all the love and support in bringing back The Heist!”
