Brisbane rockers, Runt, have released their third single for XMusic, Surrendered. The song is a dive inside the claustrophobic tension of losing control, both your own mind and the toxic, shitty people who drain your sanity. It’s about that exact breaking point where you’re done trying to be understood, exhausted by the games, and you just surrender to the chaos. It’s raw, heavy, and an absolute purge of negative energy.
Surrendered, along with previous tracks Forever and I Don’t Mind, are taken from Runt’s forthcoming self-titled debut album due for release via XMusic on August 7. Pre-orders for Runt are available now

In the band’s own words, “This isn’t just a tracklist; it’s a curated collection of stories, each built with its own pulse and purpose. We aren’t interested in being a tribute to the past or a carbon copy of the present. Instead, every song was crafted with a sole intent: to deliver a visceral, hard-hitting experience that demands the listener’s attention from the first chord to the final fade.“
Catch Runt live: Fri, June 19: Club Noire, Loganholme, QLD. Plus see them on the R U Pretty Enuff tour with Enuff Z’Nuff and Pretty Boy Floyd on Sunday, Nov 8 at Soapbox Beer, Brisbane, QLD. See xmusic.au/tours for tickets and more information.
