Project 34’s third release is brought to life by Chris & Renee Lahoud (Project 34’s primary songwriters and producers). The duo’s objective was to orchestrate a platform that tethered local and international musical talent, from a variety of genres, to collaborate in a unique way.
This enhanced the creative process, delivering unique musicality and bringing the world together during a time of saturation, isolation, and separation. Project 34’s upcoming ‘self-titled’ release features over 30 international musicians from varied backgrounds. It depicts the journey of the ‘life of man’, from ‘sunrise to sunset’, and represents a philosophy of sound that connects people across tradition, culture, status and geography; echoing through time and space.
Project 34 joins generations of people and acts as a celebration and damnation of where we are today. The album is separated into three ‘chapters’, with each having an individual tone to separate the transitions through life and death. Mixed and mastered by Francesco Petrelli, the upcoming release features a broad and extensive array of instrumentation, with 19 tracks across 65 minutes
The track Heritage explores the idea that it is the journey of life through many generations which has built the person we are today. It is our bloodline, and experiences, that have filtered through via this cultural lineage to be allowing us to be a vessel of creativity today. “The song represents my personal journey in understanding that heritage, and the tribulations and regrets that come from that journey” – Chris Lahoud
The video theme expands on this idea; From our ashes spawns new life. It is our ancestry and lineage (i.e. heritage) which spawns the next generation. This is our cycle of life.
