Far North Queensland alternative/heavy outfit Only Ghosts Remain have released the beautifully heavy “Shades Of Grey”, a song that typifies the raw aggressive nature of a band on the rise.
With a sound described as having “dynamic passages that meander between neck-snapping breakdowns and intimate, ethereal interludes”, Only Ghosts Remained have already supported bands such as Make Them Suffer, Hands Like Houses and Northlane and are breathing fire back into a musical genre that has almost lay dormant through the current COVID climate.
On the back of successful singles “Scars”, “As Light Fades” and “Broken”, “Shades of Grey” showcases all that is good about the band, with harmonious moments shattered by harsh backing vocals and punctuated by the colourful vocal style of frontwoman Lauren Barnes.
Only Ghosts Remain have seen the future of metal and have locked themselves in as part of the solution.
