Another colourful dose of angst-themed pop-punk from Adelaide/Tarndanya-based newcomer Killed by Cupid is out on September 2, titled Sugar feat. Jack Cumes.
This is a brand new solo project by Jesse Cumes, allowing them an opportunity to fully master their independent vision. As the name suggests, Killed by Cupid is a vehicle for raw feelings surrounding breakups, self-destruction and mental health. These emotions are laid bare, soaked in modern pop-laden emo-punk and delivered with an early-2000’s-tinged punch that is sure to leave a lasting impact.
Sugar feat. Jack Cumes is the second single following Magic, and is part of the upcoming The Sickly Sweet debut EP. The song oozes plenty of main character energy, and the mood is – ‘It’s my (breakup) party, and I’ll cry if I want to’.
