Premiere: HARROWAY ‘Impulse’

Share This:

Independent Sydney metalcore group Harroway stormed back onto the music scene earlier this year following the notorious effect that COVID-19 had on the Australian music scene.

After the release of their heaviest song up to that point, Sleep, earlier this year, Harroway return on October 6 with Impulse, in the process ushering in a new era for Harroway revolving around vocalist Matt Banks introducing clean singing into his arsenal for the first time alongside his brutal screams fans have come to know and love.

Impulse lyrically dives into the nature of compulsion/impulsiveness that is a part of the day-to-day struggles for people with BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), a retelling of what it’s like inside the mind of someone who uses substance addiction as a crutch to deal with mental illness.

The single is accompanied by a music video showcasing the chaos of the music and vocals, cutting from strobing lights behind the band members to a spider stalking the fly who has found itself unknowingly trapped in its web.
