With his project Fierce Deity Tasmanian songwriter Jonathon ‘JB’ Barwick has developed his own unique style with melodic hooks and an outside-the-box approach to music.
His latest and fifth single “A Ballad of Heartbreak and Despair” brings an epic conclusion to a series of singles he has dubbed The Trials which began with first single “The Path”. The song features guest vocals from Andrew Hudson from Harlott.
“Andrew and I became kindred spirits some years ago,” Barwick explained, “and I wrote this song with his voice in mind. Musically speaking Fierce Deity uses order to explore meaning whereas Harlott forces meaning through pure chaos. That’s synergy baby!”
