Naarm scrap-rock scumbags, Coolabah Kings drop their first new music of 2023 with their latest single Stay Dangerous, a rambunctious toe-tapper about rapidly losing touch with a self-destructive friend.
Recorded live at Taste Police HQ (Brunswick, Naarm), Stay Dangerous delves into the disconnection between a forward-thinking narrator and an increasingly distant larrikin mate. As a lack of growth in the latter propels their lives in opposite directions.
Stay Dangerous is strongly accented by the guest appearance of local legend Tommy Dynamite (Tommy Dynamite & The Explosions) on backing vocals. The instantly recognisable howl of one of Naarm’s most electric front people provides an undeniable grit to the crunching guitars and pounding drums of the track.
