Australia’s groove metal heavyweights Awaken The Hate launch their explosive new single Reign of Fire – the first chapter in the band’s upcoming Death War Fire trilogy.
Kicking off a new era for Awaken The Hate, Reign of Fire is an apocalyptic anthem built on monstrous riffs, thunderous rhythms, and vocalist Benno Rogers’ commanding growl. The track tells the tale of a beast long buried — now risen to exact vengeance on a world in ruin.

Dark, cinematic, and utterly unforgiving, Reign of Fire sets the tone for the trilogy to come — a concept-driven series of standalone tracks exploring environmental collapse (Planet Death), political betrayal (Contradiction of War), and divine retribution (Reign of Fire). Though the title sounds like the finale, this is where the fire begins.
Reign of Fire will not appear on the band’s forthcoming debut album — instead, it kicks off an explosive thematic arc running alongside it. With a national tour hitting Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney this May, Awaken The Hate are putting Australian groove metal back on the warpath.
