Unless you lived under a rock, or perhaps were experiencing a technological meltdown localised entirely within your smartphone, you would have heard of the tragic passing of beloved Australian rock icon Chrissie Amphlett.
Last week at 53, Amphlett lost her long battle with MS and breast cancer, and her supporters are now lobbying for her beloved music-loving Melbourne to honour Australia’s first female rock trailblazer with a street named after her. A petition has been set up here, sanctioned by her husband Charley Drayton and already outpourings of love for the late rock goddess are pouring in thick and fast from her aggreived fans.
