Following on from the release of their new EP 4YRLV, Australian rock mainstays, Perth’s own Gyroscope have today revealed the accompanying video clip for the title track – shot and directed by the band themselves and Chaddy Woo, with production design by Chloe Campbell.
The DIY clip was shot at Gyroscope’s own The Skullery – a recording studio and creative working space located in Perth suburb Malaga. Using puppets and a set borrowed from the local primary school, they created characters to loosely represent the lyrics wrote by lead singer Dan Sanders. The concept surrounds subjects such as anti-consumerism, caring for ‘Mother Earth’ and what he explains as the “next distraction” probably being aliens via Trump.
