Is there a busier band in the world at the moment then Australia’s very own Pagan? As if having their own The Evil Eye tour on the cards they are also planning for their own Holy Communion II, a European tour and will soon be touring alongside The Amity Affliction. Yes it certainly is a busy time for these blackened rock n rollers but that didn’t mean that Nikki didn’t have time to sit down a have a chat with HEAVY Mag.
“Well we have decided to stick with the real party dressing up theme,” says Nikki laughing when our discussion begins with us talking about Holy Communion II. “We did it last year and we had a great reaction. I’ve never seen a hardcore show before with so many people in white because normally everybody is in black. We all like to dress up and have fun so we thought why not make this an annual thing so we are super stoked about doing it again and this year the theme is red… so expect a lot of red wine.”
That of course turns the chat to wine and Nikki again laughs when we talk about how that relationship between Pagan and wine came about. “Well we just like hanging out, having dinner at somebody’s house and making pasta and drinking really nice Italian wine. So we all love a really nice wine whether it be red or white and then we would always ask for it on our rider but then we got to a point where we wouldn’t drink all of our rider before a show so I just started taking it on stage and then it just evolved into a little bit of a stage prop.”
