ODIUS To Release Debut EP

Brisbane thrash metal exponents Odius are ready to unleash their debut EP on the world, bringing aggression and intensity back to a genre that has become increasingly safe.

With a collection of songs – some of which have been festering for over 5 years – Ignorance Paid In Violence showcases a band at the top of their game and ready to decimate the eardrums of those within a ten-mile radius.

After relocating to Brisbane from Cairns three years ago, vocalist/guitarist Lucas Blackburn set about assembling a team of not just musicians, but like-minded metal warriors that epitomize the spirit of music and refuse to conform to societal laws.

The result is a well-oiled thrash machine that incorporates elements of death metal, metalcore and thrash to provide a sonic meltdown of metal mayhem that shines through on every track on the album.

Self – funded and produced in the bands home studio, Ignorance Paid In Violence is raw and unrelenting, combining 1980’s era thrash sensibilities with modern fusion that elevates the music beyond that of a band attempting to replicate an era gone by. This is metal at it’s finest that will stand alone against all comers.

With Ignorance Paid In Violence set for a November 6 release, Odius will be giving fans a taste of what’s to come with the single “R.T.S.M.K” later this month.
