Sydney heavy music legends Nunchukka Superfly have today released Bleary Eyed, the second single taken from their forthcoming seventh album If You Go Down I Go Down Too. The album’s July 25 release date has also been announced, and it is available to pre-order as of today. The album will be launched in Melbourne at the Northcote Social Club on Wednesday, August 27 with shows elsewhere to be announced soon.
If You Go Down I Go Down Too is the first album in 4 years from the band, and the first to include their latest (and fourth) drummer John Banicevic.
“Bleary Eyed” is a hammering, expansive, mostly instrumental multi-part epic clocking in at 5:37, and something most people would be too gutless to release as a single”, Blackie says of it: “Adding sax to the mix with the awesome Fiona Whalley… Louder? Rockier?? Fighting over the remote? Never! Don’t worry, it all makes sense…”
