Melbourne four piece Nth Rd released their debut EP, Panic, on July 22 and they will be launching the EP this Friday, September 23 at Stay Gold, Melbourne and again at Bad Decisions in Melbourne on October 7.
The EP’s first two singles Wearing Thin and Worm showcased the band’s ability to write incredibly well crafted songs. How do you stand out in an overcrowded heavy music scene? Sometimes it just comes down to great music and Nth Rd have delivered just that.
The band comment on the creation of the EP “Panic is a collection of songs detailing the different stages of a panic attack response. The songs were all written prior to the pandemic, but began to take on new meaning once the recording stage began. After a whole year of lockdowns in Melbourne, the beginning of 2021 saw us finally record these songs, after being unable to write together or even be in the same room together for such a long period of time.
At times, it was very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but despite this hardship, almost two whole years of isolation from each other has only brought us closer. We are so excited to finally share the songs that we’ve poured so much passion, time and energy into.“
