No Escape Clause with AVERSIONS CROWN

With their latest album, Hell Will Come For Us All due out on June 12, Aversions Crown guitarist Mick Jeffrey sits down with HEAVY to discuss everything metal.

“It’s still going to be a brutal death metal album essentially”, he promised, “which is what the band has always been but there are some different elements in it this time. I think the songs are… and I know everybody always says it… but I genuinely feel the songs have matured. There’s a lot more structure; a lot more hooks in amongst all of the brutality. It’s more polished and the songs complement each other as well. Each song has it’s own unique vibe without sounding like the one before it and I think that’s the standout point for this album. The other obvious thing is the inclusion of new vocalist Tyler Miller. This is his first record with us and he brings a whole new vocal sound to the band. He brings new energy and lyrical concepts as well which is another big change for the band.”

In the full interview, Mick talks about Hell Will Come For Us All in more detail, the addition of Tyler Miller on vocals and what he brings to Aversions Crown, the lyrical content of the album and how it reflects modern conditions, it’s more aggressive and structured nature, how Aversions Crown have grown as a band since debut album Servitude, how close the band came to being stuck overseas after the cancellation of their tour at the height of the pandemic and more.
