New Music From BIGFOOT MAFIA

Let It Burn‘ is about burning all your bridges, settling every score and walking away from everything.

It started out with that fat as fuck riff that Jason (guitar) came up with while we were rehearsing for our tour last year. Peter (drums) and I added a big fat beat to give the guitar plenty of room to take the lead, and we ended up with this song that feels like, in Peter’s words, “A big, sexy bulldozer”.

We weren’t really trying for a specific style with this track, other than wanting to keep building on the sound that we have created for the band and really try and define what the Bigfoot Mafia sound is. Since finishing our first tour, the band has gotten really fucking tight in our live shows, and we’re all having so much fun on stage. We’re gearing up to start writing our second album, which ‘Let It Burn’ will be on, and we’re really working hard on solidifying just what makes us sound like us.

BIO

The seaside town of Cairns in Far North Queensland is known worldwide for its abundant beaches bordering on the rainforest and its relaxed and tranquil way of life and surroundings.

That is all about to change. Soon there will also be sightings of Bigfoot to add to the mystique.

Bigfoot Mafia that is.

Bigfoot Mafia have quietly gone about their business of making abrasive rock since 2016, securing support slots with touring bands Clowns, King Parrot, Hellions, Like Thieves, Luca Brasi and Thirsty Merc in the process. They represented Cairns at the Airlie Beach Music Festival in 2017 after winning the local heat of the Battle of the Bands competition featuring the cream of Northern talent.

If it seems like an eclectic mix of genres for a rock band that’s because it is.

Versatility is one of the main strengths of Bigfoot Mafia, with their blending of hard rock, classic rock and grunge layered over the essence that is tropical living ensuring they are comfortable performing on any stage with any band.

Their mission statement is simple. To connect with people and share their experiences through music and such is their passion for their craft they are now setting their sights on coming to you. Wherever you are. To rock your souls into submission.

With their debut album, Home Sweet Nowhere, released last year, Bigfoot Mafia are wasting no time in putting their musical growth onto disk, currently hard at work on the follow-up.

It’s not rocket science. It’s rock and roll. And rock music may just have found its new King.
