Motorhead’s 1980 album Ace of Spades was a game-changer for rock music of all forms. It redefined a genre that at the time wasn’t in need of saving and amped things up to 11, raising the bar to almost unattainable heights for everything that was to follow.
Everything was now louder than anything else.
After last years well-received anniversary re-issues of the Overkill and Bomber albums, and to celebrate the 40th year of Ace Of Spades, the album will be re-released and presented in new deluxe editions. New additions such as a previously unheard concert from the Ace Up Your Sleeves Tour, the album story, never seen before photos and some 42 previously unreleased tracks make this an anniversary special that takes you back to where it all started.
Heavy metal has never been the same since, and possibly never will be again.
