Midnightdate was created in 1997 on the initiative of Łukasz Marut, Zbigniew Puchała and Katarzyna Biernat.

From the very beginning, Midnightdate performed music composed of various stylistic currents of broadly defined metal. The band has toured on the local and foreign metal stage.

In 2005 Midnightdate suspended operations until 2016. In December 2018, the band began work on the album Disease of Mutual Hatred at Studio Młyn.
