The all-Australian metal festival Metal United Down Under (MUDU) is announced today, along with the release of this year’s official artwork created by Tristan Tait Illustrations.
The festival returns for another year of celebrating home-grown Aussie metal. The national event, now in its ninth year, is set to take place across Australia on April 2, 2022 and will once again showcase the quality talent found in the Australian heavy music scene.
Also, this year Heavy Magazine and Metal-Roos, two of the biggest Australian metal supporters, team up to support the amazing local talents we have here in Australia!
“We want to make more noise than ever in 2022, pushing metalheads nationwide to yell HAPPY MUDU DAY on the date” – says organisers Black-Roos Entertainment.
Michael Lueders founder of Metal United Down Under states that “‘MUDU’ is all about both the music lovers and the bands celebrating their day for what metal is: Hanging out with their Metal brothers and sisters for a good time with great music and company! Uniting our local metal communities, working together and not against each other with the aim of creating the strongest music scene possible!”
