MERGATROYD was conceived and birthed at the beginning of 2014 between guitarist & lyricist, Darryl, and drummer, Rhysus. With a vocalist & bassist added, a demo was recorded, and the band stated hitting the road later in the year.
Early in 2015, the band recruited a second guitarist, Karnie, bringing a new depth and bigger sound to the band. The newly formed quintet recorded their debut EP Stolen Eyes Watch The World Die and released in July 2015, with a mini east coast tour to promote the release.
After line-up changes, world issues and the regular daily grind, Mergatroyd are planning a new album this year, with Redacted a sign of things to come.
