MORTALITY
Formed in 1992 in Western Sydney, Mortality carved out a niche in the Australian metal scene with their aggressive blend of Thrash, Death, and Groove Metal. Known for their electrifying performances and relentless sound, the band quickly rose to prominence within the local circuit. Featuring members from notable bands like Cryogenic, MM9, and Daysend, Mortality brought together a powerhouse of talent that energized their recordings and live shows.
After a significant impact in the ’90s, the band went on hiatus, leaving a void in the scene. However, in a thrilling turn of events, Mortality is back from the dead. Reuniting with a renewed line-up and energy, they are poised to reclaim their place in the metal community. As they hit the stage once again, old fans and new are eager to experience the resurrection of one of Sydney’s most formidable metal acts. Mortality’s return promises a revival of their hard-hitting riffs and the intense performances that originally made them a landmark in the Australian metal landscape.
ZEOLITE
Zeolite are a crushing death metal act originally formed in Tasmania before relocating to Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.
The band’s sound is a menacing, cold, dark, barren take on death metal and deathcore, as exceptionally displayed on their debut album Proselytism. Zeolite have supported acts such as Aborted, The Black Dahlia Murder, Vulvodynia and At The Gates in Australia and New Zealand, and performed on festivals such as The New Dead and Dead Of Winter.
