Matted’s story comes with impressive credentials. Guitarist Jake Slack and bassist Jacob Swann grew up on stage in London’s West End production of School of Rock: The Musical at just 11 and 12 years old. Their next project, Chapter 13, earned a golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent, leading to headline tours and O2 Arena slots. When the pandemic ended, so did Chapter 13.
Jake and Jacob re-emerged with a new determination to carve their own artistic path. Enter Max Walker, a captivating vocalist blending influences from Mike Patton to 90s grunge, the perfect rockstar who injected fresh energy into the band. Guitarist Oscar Paulley added another layer of sonic exploration, and in early 2024, powerhouse drummer Tom Walker completed the lineup, bringing industrial-inspired intensity to their sound.
