MASSIC Refuse To Give Up With New Track

Share This:

Brisbane hardcore-groove-metal quintet Massic return with the announcement of their first single in almost two years, entitled Surrender.

After gaining a reputation for their heavy hitting, in-your-face form of groove-laden Hardcore tracks with debut album Redshift, Massic followed it up with the crushing track Assimilate, which received rave reviews throughout the Brisbane and Australian heavy music scenes.

Surrender again shows a different side of Massic, with its up-tempo syncopated grooves and atmospheric melody-driven break, which shows off the musicianship and maturity of the band. Recorded and produced by Clint Vincent (Dead Letter Circus/ Rival Fire), Surrender partly encapsulates the last 18 months for Massic, with cancelled shows, delayed festival dates and delayed releases.

Lyrically, Surrender also focuses on the near-death experience of Massic vocalist Simon Russell-White.

Surrender will be released on January 28, but in the meantime, check out the preview below.

If you can’t wait until then, check out the HEAVY website and Facebook page for the special premiere at 6 pm QLD on Thursday, January 27.
