Now that Manowar’s The Lord of Steel World tour has come to an end, the band will reconvene in a studio to go over what tracks to include for a live album.
Released a few months ago as a digital download from the tours first leg, an official live pressing will be released on cd and vinyl with all new cover art by fantasy artist Ken Kelly, who painted his first Manowar cover on 1987’s Fighting the World and has designed every cover since.
The tour coincided with the bands 12th studio album of the same name and took them across Europe with a few U.S dates, beginning in October 2012 and ending with a second leg on March 19th. This will be the American fantasy bands first live album since 2007’s Gods of War Live.
Bassist and main songwriter Joey DeMaio had this to say for his ‘Army of Immortals’, “More news about ‘The Lord Of Steel‘ live album will come soon. Many thanks to all of you, the loudest and greatest fans in the world.”
