Dread is MANØRS’ latest single, released on 28/03/25. It is the band’s heaviest track to date as they continue to refine their sound since launching in early 2024. Dread opens with a haunting synth expanding into a heartbreaking & ethereal chorus luring the listener in, only to hit moments later with a brutal change of feel into a ripping verse.
When the second chorus hits, a new light is shone upon the melody with a change in the accompanying instrumentation. The track climaxes into a vicious breakdown, showing off the band’s ability to take the listener on a journey from calm to chaos as well as leaving a memorable hook stuck in your head. This track really shows off the versatility of their frontwoman Ellen, who is a force to be reckoned with capable of brutal screaming as well as emotive cleans.
