With djent becoming quite scarce in the past year or so, it’s nice to see some Swiss sprinkles on the genre with Make Me A Donut. There is a Bright Side to djent in the fact that it is a distinctive genre based on a guitar tone. Valar Morghulis is packed with plenty of emotions and instrumental action as well as their 3-part masterpiece with I Awareness, II Knowledge and III Imagination placed in the middle of the album.

Between is one of my favorites along with Valar Morghulis, with solos and a creepy feeling to it adding together nicely. The band name my throw you off as a comedy band, but they’ve done a great job with their songs regardless or any misconception. Bright Side captures everything perfect about djent metal and they do a great job in making it a decent progressive album. This album flows together brilliantly, with its spine snapping riffs and its wonderfully eerie atmosphere mixing into each other to make Bright Side a great listen for cult following djent fans.
