MAGOTH is, according to the writings of Abraham v. Worms, from the 15th century as a planetary spirit subordinate to Lucifer, Leviathan, Satan and Belial. The name describes the intention behind the musical works: the joining of forces and the view of earthly activity as an outside observer.
The works, which are deeply rooted in the black metal of the second era but are by no means another replica, move between brutal frenzy, oppressive heaviness and evocative malaise.
As the band immerse themselves in completing their new album ANIMA DIABOLI, Magoth have offered up a track from 2017 called Thorns to make sure everyone is up to speed and ready for the inevitable carnage to follow.
