Lost Weekend, the Stockholm-based rock project with musician and songwriter Michael Berman, releases an unexpected cover of Sabrina Carpenter‘s Please Please Please on July 2 on all major streaming platforms. This marks a departure for Lost Weekend, which typically focuses on original material.
“I usually don’t make cover songs as Lost Weekend, but this song spoke to me in a special way. The songwriting by Carpenter, Antonoff and Allen is remarkable, and I felt like I could translate that feeling into my own interpretation,” explains Michael Berman.
The track transforms Carpenter’s pop sensibility into Lost Weekend’s signature rock sound.
