Perth genre-bending heavy outfit liveconformdie are back with their first taste of new music in four years, announcing their forthcoming EP Die In My Prime, out Friday 9 October. Today, they kick things off with lead single, Soul Devourer, alongside a dark and dystopian video clip.
A monstrous mix of deathcore, 90s and 2000s nu-metal, metalcore and industrial electronics, Soul Devourer debuted on triple j CORE this week and sees liveconformdie heading into some of their heaviest territory yet. It’s unrelenting, wild and volatile, tackling the destructive side of narcissistic relationships.
“By giving yourself to someone you’re infatuated with, you believe you are nurturing a growing love,” says the band. “But the other person never reciprocates and only takes your energy for themselves, which eventually leaves you as a shell of the person you once were.”
