To mark 20 years since Panic! at the Disco reshaped the alternative scene with their explosive debut, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, a theatrical live tribute is coming to Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory for one night only on September 28.
Led by Australian alt artist Warwick Smith, the full-album tribute show will take place on the album’s original release anniversary. A full band will bring the album to life in its entirety—front to back—recreating the raw energy, cabaret flair, and emotional punch of Panic!’s early years. The performance draws inspiration from the band’s legendary Live In Denver concert, with attention to live arrangements, stage theatrics, and fan-beloved details.
With Panic! at the Disco no longer active and their only reunion show happening a month later in Las Vegas, this Sydney event is the only Australian tribute aligned with the original album release. Fans of the emo, pop-punk, and Myspace-era will find a space to relive (or discover) the music that helped define a generation. The show will be supported by Newcastle’s alt-pop fem four piece, Butterknife.
