LARRY LEADFOOT Announce Live Ep, Drop Single

Share This:

Melbourne extreme metallers Larry Leadfoot just announced their first official live EP Sins & All: Live In
Hellbourne
due for release on March 25, recapturing their debut EP Hellxotica in a live setting.

Accompanying this exciting news, the group also released a never before heard track, Convulsion. This scathing new single encompasses the very crux of heavy music in its most authentic form and solidifies the group’s love of heavy metal with flesh-melting chugs infused with doom inspired riffage and
blistering solos. Featuring Andrew Denning on vocals, delivering throaty growls and rapid fire gutturals infull gusto amongst the flurry of double kicks and sizzling fretwork.

Guitarist Daniel Phillip East speaks on the new release: “Convulsion is the first song Nick Parkinson and
myself wrote together, with vocals and bass written by the now departed Andrew Denning and Andrew
Lawrence respectively. This recording captures our second time playing it live. The song is best summed up as a cohesively schizophrenic mix of blackened death metal with Middle Eastern and Indian flavours, groove, and a touch of Latin for good measure. Without trying to sound pretentious, a great deal of the song resulted from spontaneous jamming in which either I would be vibing on a riff with Nick almost instantaneously kicking off a beat that was perfectly complementary, or vice versa. It’s big, it’s heavy and we hope people get off on it as much as we do playing it”
