LA Rockers Unite To Cover Classic RAINBOW Tune

Share This:

What happens when you get a group of bored musicians in the same room?

While that could have a variety of potential answers, the one I’m looking for here is magic. Pure magic.

Such is the case with this cover of the classic Rainbow song Stargazer, taken from the bands 1976 album Rising.

Faced with prolonged lockdown induced boredom, LA based musicians John Evermore (vocals), Doug Weiand (guitars), Joey Mancaruso (drums), James Staples (bass, recording) and Kent Hiltz (bass, video) decided to pay homage to their musical influences by recording Stargazer “for the love of heavy metal”.

The result is a superb rendition of a timeless classic, given authenticity by the aged film clip that takes the performers back to the era where the song was created.
