After recently outlining his musical journey in band form, Brisbane based bass player Squirty has started the concluding chapter of his metamorphosis from aspiring musician to accomplished producer with an honest and open insight into the other side of being an artist – that of recording and producing his own and others work.
In a planned four-part series of EP’s that follow the well-worn path from a fledgling dream to an eventual possible career path, Squirty has elected to outline his complete journey – mistakes and early failures included – in an attempt to provide encouragement and guidance to aspiring musicians.
The first chapter/EP, titled L Plates, showcases Squirty’s early days as he learns his craft, applying knowledge both self-taught and from experienced operators to develop his personal skillset on the other side of the musical platform.
By working his way through each release loosely following the steps to gaining your licence, Squirty uses music to weave his story with little to no curtain to hide behind.
