Los Angeles screamo upstarts, Knumears, recently announced their upcoming debut album, Directions, and today they’re back with another crushing new single, My Name. The band will also head to Australia for the very first time this March, touring nationally with US hardcore outfit Vs Self – marking their debut run down under. Tickets on sale now.
Arriving Friday, April 3 via Run For Cover Records/Civilians, Directions is a screamo tour de force that reinvigorates the genre through sheer passion. My Name follows lead single Fade Away and offers another showcase of Knumears‘ blend of old school ’90s skramz and punchy modern hardcore. The track opens with a blown-out bass line before propelling itself full speed into a wall of shredded vocals and distortion-drenched guitars, then pivots between melody and mayhem on a dime.
