ARIA-nominated Australian singer-songwriter, Kita Alexander, has today released her highly anticipated sophomore album RAGE, via Warner Music Australia. The album is a reclamation of Kita‘s self. After a lifetime of silencing her feelings and instincts to fit the societal mould expected of women, Kita reached her breaking point. Drawing inspiration from her own life and shared experiences of others, Kita sheds her good girl expectations, searches within, and embraces her rage to meet her truest self.
Speaking on RAGE, Kita said, “Rage has been the catalyst of positive change in my life over the last couple of years. The album is about an emotion I’ve always had but never understood. It’s me looking at it and embracing it as a new friend and realising that I don’t have to shut it down or avoid looking at it. Rage has helped me find what truly matters to me and to change my life in ways that work for me.”
Kita has also dropped the single Worth It ahead of a run of Australian dates before she heads overseas. The RAGE Tour will kick off in Melbourne on September 12, with shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth to follow, before Kita heads to Europe from October 14 and wraps up in the UK on October 23. Tickets are on sale now, and further details are available at kitaalexander.com
