Kill TV are a grunge/punk three-piece from Melbourne who formed in 2013 featuring Kat-vocals/guitar, Lauren-bass/vocals and Danny-drums. During their original incarnation, the band’s catchy tunes and high energy shows made a mark on the local scene, impressing audiences and industry who cited the band’s chemistry as mesmerising. Such was the hype the band came close to signing to a Seattle record label.
The band went on hiatus in 2016 due to life getting in the way and briefly re-formed in 2018.
Fast-forward to 2023 and Kill TV are back with their original line-up, new songs and are re-energized to pick up where they left off.
Their first single in seven years, the grunge anthem Blindside, is out now. The song’s lyrics center around the classic Aussie book/film Monkey Grip, with Nora (the narrator) telling us her woes about Javo, sung by Kat.
