After saying To Hell With You, taking off down Satan’s Highway, and Running Wild, Melbourne metal vocalist Kat Wilder returns with Rise Up, the title track to her forthcoming album. “Rise Up is about about rebuilding yourself after someone has tried to destroy you,” Kat says, “it’s about remembering who you are after the chaos of emotional abuse and leaving these kinds of people behind.”
Previously fronting power metal outfit Horizons Edge, Kat built a solid reputation across three studio albums and national touring, sharing stages with the likes of Helloween, Ross The Boss and Primal Fear. Their final release, Let The Show Go On, spent ten weeks in the German Rock and Metal charts, a strong sign that the reach extended well beyond Australia.
Having trained under and worked in the studio with the legendary Ralf Scheepers, Kat brings a level of control and experience that sits comfortably alongside that raw edge.
