Melbourne vocalist, Karly Jewell has released her second full length album, There’s A Jewell In Town. One of Melbourne’s most powerful rock voices, Karly is captivating audiences globally with her dynamic sound and heartfelt performances.
Her musical journey began at age five, inspired by her late grandfather, Tony Jewell, an acclaimed country singer-songwriter known for his work with Slim Dusty. Her versatility across genres has led her to form a hard-hitting rock band, playing iconic Melbourne venues like The Corner Hotel, Revolver, and The Boogie Man Bar.
In 2024 Karly signed with XMusic and immediately set about releasing the singles, Sad Girl, In The Dark, Burn and Other Side, all of which feature on There’s A Jewell In Town.
To celebrate the album release, Karly has released a video for the title track. Of which, Karly states: “This song proves to the world that you can be a small-town country kid and still write epic big rock songs. It’s a song about me always knowing I was too much for the small-town living. I had to get out, and music would lead me on a journey. I also knew this would be the Album title.“
